About Us

We are not the agency that discovered sport. We are the agency that grew up in it.

How We Got Here

There is a difference between knowing sport as a marketing channel and actually living inside the industry.

Sportertainment was not built from a gap in the market. It was built from firsthand experience of what happens when sports events in Hong Kong do not have the right professional support behind them.


Our founder Elson Ho spent over a decade as a sports broadcaster, reporter and commentator, covering events including the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games. During that time, he watched genuinely great sporting moments get undercapitalised because the marketing, production and media strategy around them was not up to the standard those events deserved.


In 2018, he started Sportertainment to change that. Since then, we have worked with well-known corporations and international brands across Hong Kong's sporting landscape, delivering events and campaigns built on real sports knowledge and a genuine investment in the outcome.

Founder & Managing Director

Elson did not start out wanting to run a marketing agency. He started out wanting to cover sport.

After studying Journalism and Communications, he spent more than ten years as a host, commentator and reporter, covering the FIFA World Cup, the Olympic Games and a range of other international sporting events. Along the way, he built relationships with athletes, associations and media organisations that you can only build by being genuinely present in that world for a long time.


By the time he founded Sportertainment in 2018, he had a clear picture of what was missing. Hong Kong's sports scene had real energy, real talent and real audiences. What it often lacked was an agency with the inside knowledge to translate all of that into events and campaigns people would actually remember.


That is still the problem he is solving.
